Forest of Dean Abundance Project
We have made an application to the Build Back Better Scheme for £1,500 for each of the 8 electorates in the Forest of Dean. This will pay for a person to work 16 hours per week running a joined up Abundance Scheme throughout The Forest. Working in local communities to bring people together to see what fruit and nut tree’s there are, to learn sustainable and ethical foraging practices, then to harvest as a community, preserve and share out the produce with this most in need.
This will form the basis of an Incredible Edible project - seeing people planting dis-used area’s with food - creating true sustainability, less reliance on supermarkets and bring people together.
We need your help - can you write to your local councillor telling them you support the scheme - we have had 3 out of 8 sign up so far, and another one pledged support.
