The loss of a baby during or after pregnancy can be devastating…

Whether you lost your baby early, late, via abortion, miscarriage, stillbirth or cot death - there is not much that can prepare us for this type of earth shattering moment.

Every woman, her family and experience is unique.

Yet some themes run through us all:

  • The physicality of the experience: pain, bleeding, heaviness, aching, breast leaking or soreness, feeling drained and exhausted.

  • Maybe accompanied by a sense of physical emptiness, emptiness of the arms.

  • Loosing a support network - often classes for pregnant women are no longer accessible.

  • A range of emotions: sadness, anger, guilt, numbness, despair.
