Teaching the Dog Tooth Chainsaw Cut

Scott takes the opportunity while helping out the farmer, Carlos, at the place we were volunteering, to show the Reflorestar team and the farm workers the Dog Toothed Chainsaw felling cut.

This is for heavily leaning trees and stops the trunk from splitting and springing back.

There is not much in the way of formal training or safety precautions out here in Portugal so Scott was happy to share some of his knowledge and expertise as we were looked after and fed so well during our stay!
