Rewilding your Pregnancy & Birth

Means finding your power

Connecting

to your Wildish, Instinctive nature.

It doesn't mean

a certain kind of birth,

but it DOES mean

Being Empowered

to make YOUR OWN decisions

doing it YOUR way.

Pregnancy, giving birth and becoming a mother are ancient Rite of Passage.

Just as menarche, miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion and menopause can be too.

All too often these experiences are highly medicalised
and we are disconnected from the emotional aspects of the experience
leaving us feeling empty.

But it doesn’t have to be that way

When we are birthing our babies, we are being birthed as mothers too.

Being birthed into a new chapter of our lives.

Radical Rewild Pregnancy & Birth Services
Emma’s Antenatal

Hi I’m Emma 👋🏽
I’m 41, I have 2 beautiful children and lead a nomadic lifestyle with my partner Scott.

I became completely obsessed with birth
when I was pregnant with my first
planned pregnancy around 16 years ago aged 24.

I’d never even heard of home birth until I picked up a birth book, then my research led me to practicing pregnancy yoga, booking an Independent Midwife, actually having a home water birth and then on to a University Diploma course in Antenatal Education and much more…

In fact my whole experience of pregnancy and birthing
started me off on a journey
of self development and whole life rewilding!!

It truly was the right of passage I needed to step into myself, my power, and onto my path!

I realised that informed choice is so lacking in much of what we do in all of our lives, and we have an opportunity to change that. My passion for providing that opportunity for other mums and mums to be grew, I wanted to give others a way to reconnect to their bodies, instincts and wisdom, just like I was doing.

I ran NCT Antenatal Classes, set up pregnancy yoga classes and a hugely popular sling library in my home town and did what I could for around 8 years whilst still living that semi-conventional lifestyle.

Until one day I realised
that I just couldn’t sustain this disconnected,
single, working parent lifestyle
any longer,
and I had to find my tribe.

I now live in a van, travelling the UK and Europe to rediscover and share traditional knowledge and skills of all kinds with people young and old. Living part of the year at Da-a-luz Postmodern Midwifery School - a place for autonomous birth-keepers to study, and share their skills.

I am available to be your birthing companion,
whatever type of birth you are planning
or challenges you might experience.

Your birthing journey is your own,
my role as a birth-keeper is to walk beside you
to give you the confidence to listen to your instincts.

I can advocate for you when needed,
making sure your voice is heard,
your decisions are respected,
and your space is protected.

My experience ranges from negotiating gentle caesarean births,
and options for surprise breech babies,
to completely hands off wild pregnancies and free-births.

I have supported women navigating additional risk factors,
interventions being offered, to post dates pregnancies, GD, GBS

We all face our own challenges in this lifetime.

꩜ Having the right circle of support around
allows us to navigate them with grace ꩜

I hope I can be of service to you in some way.

I am based in The Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, and Glastonbury, I regularly travel to Manchester, and parts of Wales too and can base myself in any area I am needed - working remotely to be close to you for your babies birth.

I support gypsy & traveller families, queer families and BAME.
