Log Cabin Eco Build Project

We are planning to replace the old chicken shed at our Permaculture allotment with a small 4.5M prototype log cabin.

Funding has been applied for from Summerfield Trust and we hope this will pay for some of the materials (wood is coming from our sustainable managed coppice woodland in conjunction with Forestry England)

We will be able to pay our experienced eco-builders to run the project as a teaching / learning experience for a number of local volunteers who will assist in exchange for being fed and watered!

If you want to get involved we will be collecting names once we have the funding and the dates - hopefully before the Winter Break so the space can be used for the Children’s Holiday Club! (We do have a back up geodome for that if needed though!)

We are working hard on the permaculture allotment every Thursday 10am-3pm tidying and preparing along with usual allotment jobs. We would love to put together a team of allotment volunteers who can come in their own time throughout the week - but we need to train you up in the methods used here first :-) Come and join us x
