Community Growing Team

Job Purpose:

To assist with The Rewild Project community growing projects, helping to engage with and teach skills to all members of the community.

May include working in schools and with vulnerable groups.

Hours: Variable by agreement.

Working Conditions: £15 per hour.

Circle: Education

Reports to: Scott Baine

Hand over from: New Roles

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1.     Complete induction training.

2.     Complete DBS

3.     Compete Safeguarding training.

4.     Attending team circle meetings.

5.     Work in a variety of community settings to design, plan, implement and maintain food forest style growing systems working closely with Scott.

Required Qualifications / Experience

Essential

Growing experience

Permaculture design certificate / experience.

Knowledge of perennial systems.

Desirable

Soil association apprenticeship / future grow / farm experience.

Knowledge of food forests

RHS – relevant modules

Community engagement experience.

Teaching experience 

Ecology experience·        

·       Full driving licence and own transport required.
