Join Tamsin and The Rewild Crew at Angus Buchanan for a guided foraging walk and a specialist class on how to preserve the abundance of wild foods that autumn has to offer!
On The Day
Tamsin will welcome you with a freshly brewed herbal tea for you all to enjoy together. You will then be taken on an immersive walk around Angus Buchanan to explore the abundance of edible and medicinal plants and help you feel more confident in identifying them. Tamsin will offer lots of ideas and inspiration for you to take away and further your foraging journey.
You will be encouraged to gather rosehips, hawthorn, blackberries and elderberries throughout the morning which you will then use to create a variety of healing goodies later on in the day.
After our foraging walk we will take a short break for lunch, we will have a fire and a range of small nibbles. We will not be providing a full meal on this course so we ask participants to bring a packed lunch along with them.
Tamsin will then guide you in making your own oxymel and explore the many medicinal qualities this method can hold
About Tamsin
Tamsin feels drawn to work with herbs through the deep and ancient genetic and biological connection that she believes every human being has. She enjoys empowering those around her by helping them to rediscover that sense of connection to the plants. Tamsin has completed a series of herbal medicine courses delivered by the Rhizome Clinic in Bristol, including the Foundation and Intermediate courses in Herbal Medicine, Herbal Gynaecology, Kitchen Medicine and also the Outdoor Summer Herb School course. Tamsin currently practices 'community' based herbalism by helping friends, family and also her own physical and mental wellbeing using wild medicine that she has made from herbs foraged in the local countryside. She believes this innate skill that we all have is vital in the current climate where there is a need and desire now more than ever, to be more self-sufficient and shorten the supply chains of food and medicine.
