About this workshop
On this course we will be working with bulrush (scirpus lacustris), a beautifully soft natural material to weave with. We will learn some ancient techniques of cordage, plaiting and how to make a small rush foraging pouch with a strap. We’ll end by taking the pouches for a forage and learning about some of the spring greens and medicines starting to come up. You will leave with a finished pouch and the skills to make another.
