Growing Futures Project Update November 2022

As the energy of the natural world around us has begun to slow and the days are getting shorter, the momentum at Primrose Hill school has been gaining pace. During half term the Growing Futures team, colleagues from across the project and lots of wonderful Rewild volunteers completed phase 1 of the new build that the children helped design during the previous term. Some of the raised beds have been built in a unique 5 pointed star, pentagram shape.

This will become a community growing space open to local families, creating free food and a wonderful space for all to use and enjoy. The long term goal is for this to be a community garden with the future potential to link in with a school/ community orchard below it.

The Growing Futures team have also been busy at the Noxon Rewild Permaculture allotment on Fridays clearing areas ready for next year, giving the blueberries some TLC, propagating plants for schools, building some new compost bays and fixing the greenhouse. Help is always welcomed and it would be great to see more of the team there on a Friday, hope more of you can make it in the coming weeks.
