Rekindle Youth Programme

You might remember our announcement about our funding from Thirty Percy and Campaign for the Protection for Rural England - we are receiving £172k over 3 years to develop a qualification in Craft and Land Skills (CALS) with locals youths at risk of exclusion from their school placements.

It took a little bit of time to make the arrangements with the school - despite them really wanting to work with us, and the youths really needing some input - there are always hoops to jump through - and back & forth with various different things - but we finally made it, and as soon as we did we were approached by 3 other schools and organisations who work with youngsters at risk who wanted to be part of the programme!

So we have been super busy locating funding, and organising sessions, having meetings etc as well as running some amazing taster sessions for these kids.

One thing we were really happy with is that the young people had the chance to work with an amazing spray paint artist to decorate our project minibus - it took 2 days in total, and the youths learned some fantastic skills, spraying old records before being let loose on the actual van!!

Check it out, we are so super pleased and hope many of you will give us a beep and a wave as you see us driving abut the forest.
