Land Possibility

We received a tip off about a piece of land going up for sale - an organically managed farm - 22 acres of land with outbuildings, some barns and a couple of acres of woodland. We just had to pay a visit!

What an amazing story behind this place, an eccentric & radical woman who left the place in her will to a dear lifelong friend to be stewarded - but without planning permission for accommodation - very tricky (The farm house was sold off by the original owner, since redeveloped, and sold for £1.2M!!!!) Gentrification of the countryside right there - and part of the reason access to land is such a problem.

At £375k for 22 acres - this puts the price too high to be funded by the Ecological Land Co-op, could we raise capital via our networks / take out part business loan?

Or could we grant fundraise - certainly a possibility, but not a certainty with our current position and we would really benefit from having a decent piece of farm land to be run as part of our educational CALS (Craft and Land Skills) programme.

However its quite far out, and there may be pieces of land cheaper and within the Forest of Dean - oh what to do??? Decisions - and with not much time on our hands while we are so busy running our other projects - is it the right time to take this step?
