Weekday Sessions for Disadvantaged Groups

These sessions were fully funded for around 2 years, we provided local jobs and put all money back into the local economy, to local growers and producers through forest food hub to provide healthy, nourishing home cooked food at every session.

We used our project minibus to collect people without transport, and each session started at 10am and was run by a skilled local craftsperson or land-worker.

Some of the participants wanted to help with cooking, others wanted to relax and socialise, just enjoying being in the woodland setting, and others wanted to get on with the craft.

These sessions supported hundreds of local people, and changed lives.

Sadly Barnwood Trust pulled their funding when Forestry England made FALSE accusations about us - despite our exemplary record and string local support. Read more HERE
