Take action to break out of the confining and infantilising dependency of the role of consumer and take back your dignity and power by becoming a producer and a creator.
Moving towards a more harmonious way of life and greater resilience requires our active participation. This means finding ways to become more aware and connected to other forms of life that are around us that constitute our food - plants, animals as well as bacteria and fungi, and to the resources such as water, fuel, materials, tools and transportation upon which we depend.
We can become creators of a better world - better and more sustainable food choices - greater awareness of resources and of community based upon sharing.
If many hands make light work, it takes a village to produce food. Food is the greatest community builder there is - it invites people to sit and stay a while and families gather together, welcomes new neighbours and weary travellers & beloved old friends.
Many feasts & rituals are centred around fermented foods like bread & wine.
RECLAIMING our food means reclaiming COMMUNITY - engaging its economic inter connectivity at a human level.
