We are now able to publish our
redacted 50 page investigation
IN FULL.

The majority of this investigation was completed for an Allegations Management Meeting on 3 March 2023

Due to Forestry England,
and Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust
refusing to collaborate with us i.e. share any information…
we were asked to keep the investigation open for a while longer.

Gloucestershire Council ‘Local Area Designated Officer’ / LADO
directed that we could continue to run our activities,
and that there was no reason for us to have funding withdrawn.

However other departments in Gloucestershire Council did pull all of our funding.

Forestry England themselves spent £32,000 of public money evicting us from Kensley Sheds

- with an eventual eviction date of 28 August -

When all we had asked for was to give us until the end of the school year
…….hmm that would have been - July or August!!

so that we could complete
the qualification with the young people,

And to make alternative arrangements for 8 years worth of Forestry, Green Woodwork, and other craft equipment!
Safeguarding the provision of services..

£32K would have gone a long way to providing that

And our time and energy would have been better spent doing that too!

Other funders such as Barnwood Trust said that ‘we wouldn’t pass their due diligence’

absolute tosh!

So a whole community of vulnerable people were set adrift.
I cant tell you all of their stories publicly,
it wouldn’t be fair,
but it absolutely breaks my heart
that we weren’t able to support them through dark times.

Not to mention the local jobs we were providing,
being quashed,
and the young people who were let down half way through their qualifications…
